Station Post | May 31, 2010

Today, Right of Center Station remembers the millions of American heroes who serve or served, and those who gave their lives for their brothers and sisters, for their families and countrymen, for people they never met, and for our allies. We also pay tribute to the families our great warriors left behind and continue to leave behind. Families who proudly and fearfully endure and wait for their loved ones to return.

Many do return. Many do not. But in every generation we have gained from our loss. We have gained appreciation for sacrifice and, hopefully, for how blessed we are as a nation. We can take heart in knowing that each loss, regardless of their beliefs or values, reflects the unique American ideals for which they gave everything: God, Family, Constitution, Country, Service, Leadership, Liberty and Freedom. Today, our nation’s enemies do not share those ideals.

On this Memorial Day, May 31, 2010, we salute all of you who have served and are serving. We are forever grateful. We are forever indebted. We are forever humbled by your great sacrifices.

God Bless you, your families, and America.
